Here's the story behind Afloat an Airboat: The most adventurous thing we did in NOLA was take an airboat swamp and bayou tour. It was surreal (and a bit scary) buzzing through water that was waist high at best at speeds of up to 42 miles per hour. We spotted 16 wild alligators on the tour. That number does not include the domesticated gator that peed on us. The scenery was gorgeous and the experience was refreshingly unique. It was definitely a blast!
