This is one of the most beautiful scenic patterns ever produced on transferware. The scene on the lid depicts a Mother and child leaving their cottage and another woman working drawing water from the stream. There are a pair of chickens on the road between the thatched cottages. The sides of the tureen feature another scene with children and horses.The border is a stunning blend of farm tools, plows, rakes, and shovels intertwined with berries and ivy...also one of the most unique and beautiful borders!
