Set of 3 Georg Jensen by Verner Panton Candlesticks in Mid-Century Modern Style

Set of 3 Georg Jensen by Verner Panton Candlesticks, graduated sizes, made from polished aluminum small candlestick - 4 and 3/4 inches in height medium candlestick - 7 inches in height large candlestick - 9 and 1/4 inches in height by 3 inches from arm to arm. All in Mid-Century Modern style. Georg Jensen, a Danish silversmith, set up his own silver business in 1904 in Copenhagen. Jensen's training in metalsmithing along with his education in the fine arts allowed him to combine the two disciplines and revive the tradition of the artist craftsman. Soon, the beauty and quality of his creations caught the eye of the public and his success was assured. The Copenhagen quarters were greatly expanded and before the end of the 1920s, Jensen had opened retail in Berlin (1909), London (1921), and New York (1924).
