Biodegradable Sponges

Our sponges are made from natural coconut fiber and wood pulp cellulose, making them biodegradable and compostable.  They go through a less toxic manufacturing process than plastic sponges and degrade in landfills. Cellulose sponges are great for cleaning a variety of surfaces including counters, dishes, bathroom surfaces, and more. The coconut fiber scouring side is perfect for scrubbing stuck on messes. Our sponges come in three fun shapes and can even be cut to fit your needs.    Proper Care for Cellulose Sponges If you keep it clean, you can reuse a cellulose sponge or wipe for up to six months. Below are several methods for killing bacteria in the sponge and extending its life:  Vinegar: Soak the sponge in full-strength vinegar for five minutes, then rinse and air dry. Dishwasher: You can run sponges through a cycle in the dishwasher on the top rack. Microwave: A wet sponge can go in a microwave for 30 seconds. Make sure it's wet; it can catch on fire and burn in the microwave
