BLOODY BREAKFAST

Title: Bloody Breakfast   Location: Namibia   The sun is setting the heat is dissipating and a cool evening breeze takes flight. In front of me stands at African wild dog with his face smeared with blood. They have just taken down a big adult zebra and this male had his fair share of the kill. The moment I was waiting for presented itself – the African Wild dog in his full form, proud, strong & fierce contrasted by the deep dark green shrubs that arrived soon after the first rains. Highlighted by the setting sun in the background. As quickly as I took the shot, I put down my camera, to observe, respect and admire this unique animal. This moment didn’t last long, but it was etched into my mind forever.   I've spent countless hours in the Bush with these successful hunters. With this particular pack I've developed a strong bond because I've seen them come from puppies all the way up to adulthood and now being one of the most successful packs, I've ever witnessed hunt.   The African w
