SNEAKY CHEETAH

Title: Sneaky Cheetah   Location: Erindi, Namibia   I felt giving this picture the title Sneaky Cheetah was fitting. I was almost like the cheetah was hiding up on this termite mound and looking down on me, slightly creepy, slightly sneaky.   I was following this cheetah on foot when I thought I’d lost him in the thick bush when he actually jumped onto this termite mound without me realising and peaked around the corner to see where I was. It was actually a hilarious moment, as I was outsmarted by the cat and I’ll admit that I felt a bit silly. I could be on foot with this cheetah, because he had been habituated by the reserve to monitor him and his brother closely as they were released onto the reserve as part of a rehabilitation program.   Even though I felt a bit silly, the fact that the cat was in a higher elevated position than me, was a great opportunity to take this photo.
