Home Lines: A large (27" by 38") tissue plan of the S.S. ATLANTIC dated November 1949. Just a year earlier the ship was sailing for Matson Lines as the MATSONIA (ex-MALOLO). The plans show in detail eight decks with color coding. Other than a section of "Riviera Suites with Belvedere" on Promenade Deck, there are many more cabins crammed into the ship than during her earlier days cruising the Pacific for Matson.Home Lines bought the ship in 1948 to operate on the transatlantic run, and for occasional cruises. In 1954 the ATLANTIC was transferred to a new subsidiary, National Hellenic American Line, where she sailed as the QUEEN FREDERICA.Very good condition with light discoloration.
