EMPRESS OF ENGLAND: 1957 - Tissue deck plan from 1960s

Canadian Pacific: A fold-out (34" by 34") tissue deck plan from the 1960s for the EMPRESS OF ENGLAND.Six decks are shown in detail covering both First and Tourist classes. The EMPRESS OF ENGLAND was the second of three sister ships built by Canadian Pacific for North Atlantic service. Her maiden voyage in April of 1957 was just in time to see the jet introduced for passenger service. CP was especially hard-hit and sold off the first of the sisters in 1964. The EMPRESS OF ENGLAND was the next to go in 1970 to become Shaw Savill's OCEAN MONARCH. The ship was not much for a success in that role either and ended her career at the scrappers in 1975 at the relatively young age of 18. Her two sisters went on to great success as popular cruise ships which helped launch the Carnival brand. Very good condition.
