CARINTHIA: 1956 - First & Tourist deck plan set
Cunard Line: A colorful First Class deck plan and a b&w Tourist Class version from the 1950s for the CARINTHIA. The publication budget was spent promoting First Class. The eight-page brochure stretches open 42" to reveal the beautiful official portrait by A.E. Morrison. There are six big color photos of public rooms showing off a design reminiscent of the QUEENS. The dominant colors are reds with hot pink upholstery contrasting with seafoam green walls in the Lounge and royal red chairs matching the curtains in the Drawing Room. The Restaurant looks elegant with light lavender walls and chairs with red and gray striped upholstery. The plans are detailed and show six decks. The Tourist Class has twelve pages showing six decks. There are no photos. Very good condition with light wear.
