REINA DEL MAR: 1956 - Deck plans covering First, Cabin & Tourist classes from 1956-57
Pacific Steam Navigation: Two sets of deck plans that cover First, Cabin, and Tourist classes aboard the REINA DEL MAR. The ship stopped at an amazing thirty-eight ports during her two-mouth round-trip from Liverpool to Chile and back. The First and Cabin class plan is dated November 1957 and opens to 25" by 30". Seven decks are shown in detail, covering everything from the small First Class observation deck high up on Sun Deck down to the two large restaurants and cheapie cabins in B Deck (the decks are lettered in reverse order from the norm with B being the lowest passenger deck). Pompous dude that I am, I've chosen one of the two De Luxe Suites on D Deck, although frankly they don't look up to the size standards of North Atlantic liners. Still, to enjoy that magnificent voyage to the tip of South America, I'd even book a cramped C Deck inner. That cocktail bar up on Promenade Deck looks comfy and I love the ship's colorful decor.
