Shaw Savill - A large (24" by 36") deck plan from 1955 for the DOMINION MONARCH. She carried 517 passengers in First Class only.Six decks are shown in detail. There is color-coding, although not what you'd expect. "Cabins tinted green," notes the legend, "represent the permanent South African allotment."At the end of her years the DOMINION MONARCH docked in Seattle where for six months she became a floating hotel for the World's Fair. Brochures from the era laude her as one of the most famous ships afloat, certainly a head-scratcher to most Seattleites who had never heard of her.Good condition.
