INDEPENDENCE & CONSTITUTION - Deck plan booklet from mid-1960s

American Export Lines: A sixteen-page deck plan booklet from the mid-1960s for the INDEPENDENCE and CONSTITUTION. There are a few photos of passengers onboard, but mainly this brochure is detailed deck plans. Eight decks are shown covering all three classes. It takes a little searching to figure out the class separations but the trick is always to "follow the staircases". By finding a public room and following the stairways you can usually pinpoint the outline of each class. Interesting to compare this plan versus the American Hawaii Cruises plan from the 1990s. Other than new cabins on the former Sports Deck, not much changed in fifty years. Excellent condition.
