German Atlantic Line: As "lifted" from shipboard, a 4.5" diameter glass ashtray featuring the Deutsche Atlantik's logo in the center. Hard to believe that people actually smoked cigarettes while eating dinner, but you can see this style of ashtray in the center of the captain's table in the attached photo. The distinguished gent in the center starring at the camera is Helmut Bender, original captain onboard the HAMBURG in 1969. Excellent condition.
