Echinacea 'Sombrero Tres Amigos' - Coneflower
We were so impressed by the tidy foliage, reasonable size, and large profuse long-blooming flowers of the Sombrero series that we had to have more. Tres Amigos has all of the winning characteristics of the Sombrero line, but gives you a flower that transitions through the growing season from peach, pink, rose to burgundy with the characteristic dark central cone. If you want a variety of colors that naturally blend, Tres Amigos is a great choice. These coneflowers are of medium height and work well in the middle to back of beds, under windows against fences and under trees. The blooms are profuse and the many shades of red are a sight to behold. We find these start to bloom at the tail end of spring and continue so profusely well into late summer they trail off with few, but no less fabulous blooms until the fall frost.
