Liberty Street

This vibrant watercolor painting print depicts the classic Liberty Street landscape in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. The painting took approximately 100 hours to complete and is watercolor on paper, measuring 24" x 18". It includes the Michigan Theater as well as the State Theater, which are both hallmarks of the city. This painting is very unique because the artist (an Ann Arbor native) designed the painting to include both old and new landmarks of the city. While Chipotle and other new construction shine brightly in the scene, there is a tribute to the John Leidy gift shop, which held a prominent presence in the city for over fifty years before closing in 2010.
