This vibrant watercolor painting print depicts Northwestern University's famous Weber Arch framing University Hall (built in 1869 and the oldest building still standing on campus). The painting took approximately 150 hours to complete and is watercolor on paper, measuring 24" x 18". When painting the picture, Niki paid great attention to detail in the architecture as well as the landscape to capture the exact essence of this iconic scene in hopes to commemorate the hard-work and warm memories for students and alumni. She designed the scene to reflect very early springtime with a hint of winter light. The icy blue, deep purple and light lemon yellow color palette capture the lakeside nature of the school and accent the gothic architecture.  About Niki's Process: Niki starts by photographing the scene herself at different times of the day.
