Activated Charcoal Clay Mask

Activated charcoal is said to remove deep impurities and toxins from the pores. It absorbs excess oil, reducing the risk of blackheads and acne. It exfoliates, shrinks pores, tightens the skin and is a natural anti-fungal and antibacterial. This mask also contains kaolin clay, which absorbs oil, cleans pores and soothes skin. It is the gentlest of cosmetic clays. This mask comes in powdered form for an extended shelf life. Simply place roughly a half teaspoonful in a small bowl, add a small amount of water, a bit at a time until it is the thickness you prefer. (I like a thicker mask, so I add just enough water to make it spreadable.) Apply to face, neck and/or chest with mask brush or fingers. Allow to dry, then rinse. This can stain, so we don’t advise using you favorite white washcloth or towel. Can temporarily stain skin.
