Distressed Alder Mantel

This distressed fireplace mantel is custom-made just for you. Constructed from solid Alder hardwood and made to resemble a solid hardwood beam. The hollow core makes it much lighter, with an open back that is mounted to your wall with a French Cleat (see installation video link). Installation is simple and strong. Each mantel is distressed and hand-hewn, with attention to every detail, adding scrapes, nicks, and cracks and working with the natural characteristics of the knotted wood to bring a beautiful, aged appearance. Distressing will vary from mantel to mantel. Finished with either a hand-rubbed finish oil that gives a matte, natural look to the wood or with a low-sheen satin polyurethane finish. HARDWARE: All mounting hardware is included for sheetrock installation. If you are installing on a masonry surface, we will provide masonry screws.
