Looking back, I used to long for past accomplishments. But now I accept the present — knowing there are always better things to come. This piece is a reminder that improvement isn’t about chasing what’s behind, but about becoming, step by step, something brighter ahead. 🌸 When I wrote this in May 2023, I told myself I was patient, that I accepted the present. Truth is — I was numb, dismissive, and hiding under the idea of “improvement”. But even that version of me was trying — trying to believe in better days, trying to paint my way through the silence.
