Rim Lamp: Body B White Satin

LEAD TIME: 4-6 WEEKS The Rim series is a collection of three ceramic table lamps. All of the pieces are hand-built individually and stacked together to form a new shape. Drawing inspiration from the silhouettes we've been exploring in the studio, we pulled them all off of the shelf and onto the prototyping table finding combinations that converged with ease.  BODY B: Centered by an inverted hourglass shape this playful lamp has a triangular shade that accentuates the overall form. Small brass details finish the top of the lamp.   SHAPE: Geometric drawing models, totems, and architectural building blocks all come to mind in the overall shapes. The pieces are intentionally stacked together rather than softened into one form allowing the overall shape to hold the silhouettes of many within the whole.  GLAZE: Black or White Satin glaze is hand painted on each individual piece creating subtle variances which add depth and texture to the surface without departing from the singular color.
