Goldenrod has been used in herbal medicine for its mild diuretic properties, often incorporated into remedies for improving kidney health.* Solidago gigantea is a perennial herbaceous plant known for its bright yellow flower clusters that bloom in late summer to fall, commonly found in meadows, prairies, and along roadsides across North America.  Goldenrod has reputation for causing allergies; however, it is actually its pollen, which is heavy and not wind-borne, that typically triggers allergic reactions, not the plant itself.
