Magic Loop Class Evening

Add an essential skill to your knitting toolbox! Come and learn the Magic Loop technique for knitting in the round. Most frequently used with socks, this approach can be applied to cowls, mittens, hats…virtually any item knitted in the round. Developed by Sarah Hauschka and Bev Galeska, the Magic Loop method employs one very long circular needle in lieu of double pointed needles. A variation of Magic Loop developed by Joyce Williams employs 2 circular needles and is particularly useful when knitting 2 items in the round simultaneously, such as sleeves or gloves. Mastering this innovative technique will boost your confidence and expand your knitting acumen! Yarn for the class must be purchased from Oak City Fibers! Class date April 17th  5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Materials- Any fingering weight yarn – at least 1/2 skein for practicing technique - One 40” US size 2 or 3 circular needle for original Magic Loop technique OR- Two 24” US size 2 or 3 circular needles for modified Magic Loop technique
