Orange Judd Company, 1916. First edition cloth bound hardcover of Plant Propagation: Greenhouse and Nursery Practice by M.G. Kains. Highly illustrated with illustrations and black and white photos throughout. This book comes from the library of Walter Scott Malloch, a horticultural researcher at the University of California, who published a 1919 volume on pollination experiments with the sweet cherry, and a 1923 paper in The American Naturalist studying experimental accuracy in fruit breeding. Fine condition. Excellent copy with a tight, square binding and clean, crisp pages. Small spot of residue to the front cover fore edge.
