Old Natchez Trace

The first time I recalled being on the Trace, we were headed to college. Not as students, yet, but as juniors in high school. Some buddies and I were headed over for a visit day from Athens, Ala to Ole Miss, and the straightest route appeared to be on the Trace. We drove west, hopped on, and immediately got caught behind a law abiding citizen doing 45mph.
