Oro del Desierto – Picual (2022 Harvest)

Organic, single-varietal Picual extra virgin olive oil from Almeria, Spain. This is a flavorful EVOO with lovely notes of freshly cut grass, green tomato leaf, chicory, ripe tomato and artichoke.  Medium-high bitterness and medium pungency.   This family-run operation recently won a prestigious award for the most sustainable olive farm in Spain.  Oro del Desierto also is a member of the Living Olive Groves Project and is focused on improving biodiversity in its groves.
