1990-91 O-Pee-Chee Premier Hockey was released as a response to a growing number of premium brands in the hobby.With Upper Deck entering the sport with the 1990-91 set, and products like 1990 Leaf Baseball proving popular, it seemed logical that the success would carry over to hockey's most recognized brand at the time. And it did.The set was a huge success at the time of its release. And while prices declined significantly from their peak, it has seen a resurgence. OPC Premier remains one of the top hockey sets of the "Junk Wax Era" that is hindered by high production numbers.
