Aerides quinquevulnera A wonderful fragrance species – Found in Malaysia and the Philippines at elevations of 300 to 2000 meters in bright light locations as a large sized, hot to cool growing monopodial epiphyte that has lorate, leathery leaves that are apically bilobed and bloomsart most any time of the year on a densely many flowered, 18" [45 cm] long, sharply pendulous inflorescence with fragrant cinnamon scented, long-lasting, waxy flowers occuring in the winter. It is capable of flowering more than once a year – Large plant with 2"– 2.5" lovely purple/pink flowers. You can grow it in a 4" basket, bare root if you have high humidity and water them daily. You can also plant it in a 6" baskets with moss, or clay pot with extra large New Zealand bark. This will keep moisture around the roots so you don't have to water daily.
