The grooved border acts as a juice catch and allows for easy clean up when things get messy. The groove is featured on one side however both sides can be utilized if you prefer a full surface. No stains or dyes used. Finished with a food safe oil which can be re-applied anytime to keep your board healthy and conditioned. All materials locally sourced and built right here in Eugene, OR.  Materials Solid Hardwoods: Walnut, Cherry, Maple Dimensions In addition to the size you choose all butcher blocks are approx. 1" thick. Care Hand wash with soap and water. Dry with hand towel. Do not put in dishwasher or leave in standing water.
