Beginner Overnight Backpacking at Windham Mountain (May 2 & 3, 2026)

Updated Jan 2026 It can be a little intimidating sleeping outdoors for the first time. How do you even start? How do you sleep? Won't it be cold? What about bears? And what about the stuff you hadn't thought about like what if you have to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom? This camping experience was created specifically for you! If you've never been camping in what's called "primitive campsite" (i.e. no running water, no electricity, no man-made structures), this is your trip! Or if you've only tried camping once or twice before but probably didn't like it because your host didn't prepare you well or you just didn't like the group you were with, give camping one more chance on this trip. This trip has been hosted every year since 2013 specifically for beginners who've been craving that backpacking experience with no running water or bathrooms, but still wanted to ease into it. You will backpack a short 1 mile to a designated campsite where your trip host will help
