There is plenty to see and taste here, and farmer Pete will give us a good look around. Our tour includes unusual varieties of fruits including loganberries, medlars, paw paw and blood peaches, plus many types of apples that are made into fresh-pressed cider and vinegar. Pete is a big Outstanding fan. We sometimes see him at other events across the country, standing out in someone else's field. This year Pete joined us on Winter Tour when we set our table on a remote beach accessible only by boat near La Paz in Baja California. Chef Sarah Welch last joined us as guest chef at an urban farm in Detroit, where she and her team impressed guests with an inspired menu and stellar execution.
