Acorn Necklace

These acorns were hand cast with the sand casting method from a real acorn foraged from beneath an Oak tree in Utah. Completely sterling silver, they're sturdy yet delicate -- a perfect symbol of something that grows. They're submerged in patina then buffed to bring out the detail + ruggedness. The necklace weighs about an ounce. Available in two chain options: A -16 inch box chain B -18 inch beaded chain Sand casting, the method used for this piece, is a beautiful, imperfect, and time intensive process that allows for differences in each cast--a mold can be used only once, so each acorn is singular in form, and rare in expression.
