The work is from a series of portraits Justice began in response to “the biases regarding traditional associations of nature with the feminine,” she writes, which allows for the continued “subjugation and exploitation” of nature. Her work encompasses the issue’s exploration of Southern landscapes, waterways, and borderlands, evident in Neesha Powell-Twagirumukiza’s journey to Georgia’s coast and Lauren Stroh’s reflections on Hurricane Laura. Issue 113 marks the f
