Abdo Aba Mecha - Ethiopia

Abdo was fortunate enough to inherit a sprawling 30-hectare farm in Illbu Kebele.  He is somewhat of a rarity in this region, producing both vibrant naturals and expressive washed coffees (both of which we purchased).  He exclusively grows the 74110 varietal for its outstanding quality, and harvests only fully-ripe cherries.  This coffee struck us for its vibrant fruit, but moreso for the structure and clarity it maintains as it cools (not a given with naturals).   Producer Abdo Aba Mecha Origin Gomma, Jimma, Ethiopia Varietal 74110 Process Natural Altitude 1900-2100 masl Roast Light Notes Cranberry, Grape, Melon *Whole-bean coffee
