Bookkisa - Ethiopia

Nicknamed “The King of Guji,” Ture Waji knows the land and people of Guji about as well as anyone.  This is a coffee that we connected with during our trip to Ethiopia in January.  It’s only very recently that a washed coffee was available from Ture, and Bookkisa was the first.  Only fully-ripe cherries are selected, then pulped using a Penagos eco-pulper; the coffee is then fermented in water for 12 hours before being moved to raised beds for drying.    Producer Ture Waji Origin Shakkiso, Guji, Ethiopia Varietal Landrace Process Washed Altitude 2000-2150 masl Roast Light Notes Mango, Peach, Blood Orange *Whole-bean coffee
