Hallmarks are original and deep.  The dial is original and has not been cleaned or refinished. Date & Paperwork: The watch was made in 1951 and sold in 1952, confirmed with an extract from the archives confirming its date of manufacture and further sale.  The known History that was mentioned from the seller is that it was in a bank safe since 1995 Historical info on 1579's: They were made between 1943 to 1964 approximately 21 years. The watch had an approximate production of 470 pieces in yellow, rose, steel and platinum.
