Triple Matted Pumpkin Harvest Still Life Original Print is from an oil painting I did several years ago when my children were very young. One October day my daughter Faithy came home from first grade toting a beautiful orange pumpkin that seemed almost as big as she was. She was so excited about the gift that her friend Christine, who lived on a farm and had her own pumpkin patch had given to her. Her friend had meant the pumpkin to be for a jack-o-lantern, yet Faithy knew how much I loved to paint pumpkins and gourds. She gave me the pumpkin, saying we could see it forever if I painted it, but only enjoy it for a little while if we carved it up for Halloween. (I have to add though, that the following year my son insisted that since I had painted a portrait of his big sister's pumpkin, I had to paint a portrait of HIS pumpkin that he'd carved into a jack-o-lantern for a cub scout competition!) Fair is fair, and so I did paint a portrait of my son Christian's jack-o-lantern that y
