Dual Moving Coil Turntable Cartridge Designed Specifically for Use With Mono Vinyl Records Designed for use with mono vinyl records and compatible with stereo playback systems, the Audio-Technica Consumer AT33MONO is a moving-coil turntable cartridge, which offers high-quality sound reproduction and dependable performance. With the horizontal configuration of PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) coil, the AT33MONO cartridge generates electrical signal with horizontal movement, yet it also has appropriate compliance in the vertical direction, making it safe for use with stereo records. The AT33MONO helps prevent the transmission of unnecessary strain components from distorted or scratched records, while providing a mono audio signal with much higher quality than that generated by a stereo cartridge. The cartridge features a strong, rigid body and incorporates Hanenite rubber in the interior and cantilever fulcrum support to eliminate unnecessary vibrations. The AT33MONO includes a nonmagnetic screwdriver, mounting hardware, a plastic protector, and a set of PCOCC lead wires. Note: This cartridge with 0.6 mil conical stylus is not compatible with SP (standard play) shellac records.
