This is an original 1722 black and white copper engraving of "Adam Graf in Herbersdorff," also known as Adam Garf von Herberstorff, or Adam Graf von Herbersdorf, an Austrian nobleman and officer. Herberstorff was a Bavarian Governor and then Governor of Upper Austria, where he subdued several Protestant rebellions. The portrait is surrounded by a wonderful decorative motif featuring a stylized lion at the bottom of the print as well as a laurel-leaf crown at the top of the print, symbolizing his military accomplishments and success.CONDITIONThis 289+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine+.
