This is a rare original 1875 color chromolithograph that depicts a variety of traditional Arabic rosettes and other illuminations found in a large, and incredibly ornate, copy of the Islamic Qur'an. A unique feature of this illustration, which may be difficult to see in the digital image, is the use of gold ink which not only shimmers when it catches the light but also accentuates some of the finer details that might otherwise be missed.CONDITIONThis 136+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++.
