1875 Chromolithograph Persian Manuscript Illustration Arabic Border LOR1

This is a rare original 1875 color chromolithograph that provides two different examples of manuscript decoration from historical Persia. The upper illustration is from the frontispiece of the Shahnameh, a long poem written by Persian poet Ferdowsi around the first century CE.
