1883 Ad Lavine Washing Hartford Chemical Clothes Health - ORIGINAL GROC1

This is an ultra rare original 1883 black and white print ad for Lavine from the Hartford Chemical Company of Hartford, Connecticut. The ad writes, "Wash paint with Lavine, Wash soiled clothes with Lavine, Wash tinware and dishes with Lavine, Remove paint, grease, and stains with Lavine." This is one of the most rare grocery-related original advertising items we have procured. It is from a rare trade journal printed in original letterpress manner (you can feel the emboss, deboss feel to the letter printed areas of each ad). Images were woodblock prints for most and are amazing. The journal this was removed from only went to grocery owners and industry buyers. A one-of-a-kind item in this condition and size.
