This is an original 1893 halftone print of the Torpignattara, the mausoleum constructed by Emperor Constantine in the early first century but used as a final resting place for his mother, Helena, who passed away before he did. It gets its name from the earthen vases which were built into the vault to lighten its weight. CONDITIONThis 118+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. Light aging throughout. No creases.
