Depicted is an outstanding monument of secular architecture, the Rector's Palace in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The Palace is a blend of both Gothic and Renaissance styles, attributable to its turbulent history and the resulting reconstructions and additions. The building was first referred to as "Palace" in 1349.
