This is an original 1920 World War I sepia rotogravure of the gun that fired the first shot for America, which was aimed at Berlin by a gunner of Battery C, 6th F. A., 1st Division, commanded by Captain Idus R. McLendon. The weapon has since been kept at the West Point Military Academy in New York.
