This is an original 1943 photogravure of the Orange Triumphal Arch in Orange, France. Researchers are unsure as to when the arch was built, but the assumption is that it was built during Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus' reign, the first emperor of the Roman Empire. The arch was in remembrance of the veterans of the Gallic Wars. The photographer for this image is unknown.
