Quinta da Muradella "Candea" Monterrei Tinto '20

José Luis created "Candea" as an entry point into the wines of Muradella. He purchases the grapes from a good friend of his, who also works in the vineyard with a similar attention to quality.  It is a blend of Mencía, Arauxa (Tempranillo), Garnacha Tintorera and Mouraton, all grown in clay soil.  Fermented in tank, with a third of the fruit, whole cluster, it racked and aged in tank for one year.  The 2020 is a delicious, easy drinking red with red fruit, herb and floral notes. The texture is soft, somewhere between light and medium bodied. A great everyday drinker.
