Welcome to Peyote People Peyote People has been recognized by the Huichol Traditional Government of San Andres Cohamiata for its work in the community. The Wixarika (Huichol) people are internationally acclaimed for their artwork. This piece is adorned with symbology from their culture. Mayola Villa Lopez is the granddaughter of Jacinto Lopez Ramirez, an older Huichol shaman considered to be the grandfather of the commercial bead art.
