PATCHWORK INDIGO KAKISHIBU OVERSIZED TOTE

Our one of a kind oversized tote made from a patchwork of vintage indigo textiles from Mali. These cotton textiles are constructed from a series of narrow panels handwoven on a backstrap loom and then sewn together, selvedge to selvedge. Straps are antique Belgian linen dyed with kakishibu, a Japanese dye of fermented persimmons.  Fully lined in heavy weight, undyed linen Interior pocket made from remnant fabric Padded straps  24.5" x 21", 11" strap drop Dry Clean or Spot Clean Made in Santa Fe, NM All wear, marks or mending are unique to this vintage handwoven textile.
