From the late 1800s to late 1900s, Pittsburgh had a vast electric streetcar network running over 600 miles of track. The system had innovative technology for complex routes and steep hills in order to serve the 90 neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, creating a rolling melting pot of riders. The #1628 trolley is pictured in Pittsburgh’s South Side at the intersection of East Carson Street and South 18th Street in the 1960s. This Archival Satin Paper Print is unframed.
