Charlie's Shirt 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

This pattern, by Genniewren Designs, is for a men’s shirt sized for 18 inch dolls. The traditional shirt has a button band, lined yoke, curved hem, left breast pocket, grandad or standard collar, and a choice of short sleeves or traditional long sleeves with cuffs. The shirt is loose fitting enough to give the impression that your doll has “borrowed” her big brother’s shirt. The fastenings have been created “man style” to further the impression that your doll is wearing her brother’s shirt, but if you prefer you can swap the fastenings over to the “girlie” side. The choice is yours. Men’s shirts were popular fashion choices for women in the 1980s and were often worn jazzed up with a big belt or loose over a dress or boilersuit.
